  • MULTI-CHANNEL PARTIAL DISCHARGE TEST SYSTE

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to provide a replacement Partial Discharge Test System. The system was to be designed for testing up to 70KV with partial discharge testing up to 26KV. The new system was to test multiple DUTs simultaneously vs. a single DUT.

  • TIME CURRENT TEST SYSTEM WITH MOBILE CURRENT SOURCE

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to develop and build a custom Switchgear Time-Current (TC) test system incorporating a custom Mobile Current Source (MCS). The system was to further automate the testing process by adding additional functionality over the existing test system, enhance operator safety features, and reduce operator interaction.

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to design and build an automated recloser test system based on an existing system. The new system required new functionality to support testing of a new product model.

  • ELECTRICAL BUSHING RIV / HIPOT TEST SYSTEM

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to provide a replacement RIV/Hipot test system for electrical bushings. The existing Faraday cage, product test tanks, and high voltage switches were to be re-used. Up to 100KV was required for Hipot testing and 30KV for RIV (Radio Influence Voltage) testing.

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to provide a replacement vacuum interrupter resistance test system. An existing test system was in place and failing due to age.

  • RECLOSER CONTROL TEST SYSTEM

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to provide a new (current
    technology) Recloser Control Test System for a new Recloser Control
    product.

  • MEDIUM VOLTAGE CONTACTOR TESTER

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to develop a functional test system for a medium voltage contactor. The system incorporated a customer-supplied fixture and other hardware. The system test requirements included pickup tests and HiPot test. The provided fixture incorporates two DUT test locations to run pick-up and HiPot tests simultaneously (pick-up test in one location and HiPot test in the other).

  • ELECTRO-MECHANICAL DEVICE TEST SYSTEM

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to develop and build a custom Electro-Mechanical Device Test System. The system electrically closes and close/opens the device for a configurable number of cycles. The system can perform close/open cycles as fast as four times per second with a delay between close to open as little as 0ms. The duration of close and open pulse signals can also be adjusted to accommodate various DUT styles. The total number of cycles is configurable with the cycles stopping when the breaker state feedback does not correspond with the systems last command. The system also counts and records the total number of cycles performed and is capable of restarting a test without resetting the cycle count, allowing a test to be stopped and restarted at a later time.

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to develop a custom
    test fixture, based on the Emerging Technologies standard
    fixture platform, to test a PCB or cased-up DUT on a single
    fixture.

  • DOCKING STATION PCB FUNCTIONAL TEST SYSTEM

    Emerging Technologies, LLC was called upon to develop a test system for a
    printed circuit board that would be installed in a docking station assembly.
    The product required automated testing.

  • COVER CONTROL TEST SYSTEM

    Emerging Technologies, LLC. was called upon to develop a test system for a line of cover control sub-assemblies. The units to be tested included communicating and non communicating versions of the device. The product required automated testing as well as some operator input to complete the test.

  • HIGH VOLTAGE CONDITIONING AND TEST SYSTEM

    Emerging Technologies, LLC was called upon to design and build a custom High Voltage Conditioning and Test System incorporating a customer provided DUT fixture and safe room. The system was to verify the DUT to be correctly manufactured and provide a high voltage burn period to condition the DUT for use in the next phase of manufacturing of the final product.
